Outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney and wide receiver A.J. Brown were both listed as limited in practice on Wednesday for the Tennessee Titans.
Clowney played 44 snaps in Monday night’s win over Denver and was working on the side with Coach Mike Vrabel during the open portion of Wednesday’s preparation for Sunday’s game with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Vic Beasley remains limited with a knee injury and was also seen working on the side with the head coach.
Brown was listed as limited in Wednesday’s work due to a knee injury. Brown missed time in training camp with the knee, and could be just getting a rest day.
Fellow wide receiver Corey Davis, who had seven catches for 101 yards in the win over the Broncos did not practice due to a hamstring issue. Davis was questionable last week with that injury, but practiced two of the three days leading up to the game.
Safety Kenny Vaccaro was out of practice due to an illness on Wednesday.
There was some good news, however, as three players who missed last week’s season opener were back and practiced fully on Wednesday.
Those included outside linebacker Derick Roberson (knee), rookie running back Darrynton Evans (hamstring) and backup offensive lineman Jamil Douglas (hand).
A day after the Titans waived wide receiver Cody Hollister from the practice squad, they elevated rookie Nick Westbrook-Ikhine to the 53-man roster. On Monday night, he was one of the two additional players added to the roster under the expanded Covid-19 rules this year, but was inactive.
Protected practice squad
The Titans have designated their four protected practice squad players who cannot be signed by another team this week. They are kicker Tucker McCann, quarterback Trevor Siemian, running back Jeremy McNichols and outside linebacker Wyatt Ray.
