Marcus Johnson

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Marcus Johnson (88) will make his season debut Sunday in Jacksonville after being activated from injured reserve.

Wide receiver Marcus Johnson was activated from injured reserve to help the Titans, who are suddenly short-handed at the position.

Johnson began the year on injured reserve after suffering an undisclosed injury late in preseason after a strong training camp.

The Titans expect to have A.J. Brown back from his hamstring injury as they play in Jacksonville on Sunday, but are still without Julio Jones. Rookie Racey McMath was placed on IR earlier this week.

The Titans made several roster moves in addition to activating Johnson on Saturday. They promoted veteran outside linebackr John Simon from the practice squad to the active roster and waived Shariff Finch in the process. They also added for the game practice squad players Caraun Reed, a defensive lineman and Jamal Carter, a defensive back.

In addition to those moves, the Titans downgraded outside linebacker Bud Dupree and tackle Ty Sambrailo to out due to their injuries.
