The Tennessee Titans added some special teams help and safety depth, announcing the signing of free agent safety Matthias Farley, formerly of the New York Jets and Indianapolis Colts.
Farley, a former Notre Dame player, spent his first three seasons with the Colts and spent the past two years with the Jets, where he served as a special teams captain in 2020.
Farley has played in 66 games total in his NFL career with 18 starts. His best season defensively was in 2017 when he started 15 games and made 98 tackles for the Colts.
He has three career interceptions and 14 passes defensed.
Farley figures to have a role on special teams with the Titans as well as compete with Dane Cruikshank to back up Kevin Byard and Amani Hooker at safety.
